Welcome !

Dear Partners and Stakeholders,

Ever since December 2, 1934 when Christ Lutheran Church held its first worship service at a local Bethesda theater, outreach to the community has been a key mission.  After serving those needs for over eighty years, the congregation embarked on an expanded vision to create a welcoming place grounded in love, service and sharing, where people of all ages, faiths, abilities, and culture can meaningfully connect with each other and explore opportunities for building community and a healthy, balanced life.

GGT was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to offer affordable space in downtown Bethesda for organizations that enrich lives across generations, serve vulnerable neighborhoods, and advance intercultural and inter-faith understanding.

The new center has been carefully designed after many years of input and approvals from the congregation and community.  It will provide quality, affordable, mission enhancing nonprofit and community space.  This innovative project will be a sustainable center of strength for organizations to work together, grow together and make lasting positive impacts in the ever-growing Bethesda and across Montgomery County for generations to come.

GGT was created to manage the outreach, funding and tenant space rental of the new 64,000 square foot facility that Christ Lutheran Church will least to GGT for the next 25 years.  During the two-year construction period, Christ Lutheran will stay true to its 80+ year Bethesda roots by worshipping at Imagination Stage, just one block away.

We are excited that our center plans are coming together after years of active input and approvals.  We thank the many supporters and facility users who have long been with us for years and look forward to engaging many others in the future.
